Not every angler fishes the same way, so one rod does not work for everyone.
A custom fishing rod gives you more control over the details. We can help you choose a setup based on where you fish, what species you target, the lures or bait you use, and how you like your rod to feel.
You may be looking for a light and sensitive rod for jigging, a stronger setup for larger fish, or a rod built for a specific technique. We can talk through what you need and help put together a rod that fits your fishing style.
Depending on the rod you want, custom options may include:
If you are not sure what combination is right for you, that is fine. Tell us what you fish for and how you normally fish, and we can help narrow down the options.
Fishing around Richmond and Central Minnesota can mean anything from jigging for walleyes to casting for bass or spending a quiet afternoon catching panfish.
The right rod can make a real difference in how well you feel a bite, control your lure, set the hook, and fight a fish.
We can help with rods made for common Minnesota fishing styles, including:
A sensitive rod can help you feel light bites when jigging or working live bait. We can help you choose the right length, action, and power for the way you fish for walleyes.
Bass fishing often calls for different rods depending on the lure or technique. We can help with casting and spinning setups made for your preferred style of bass fishing.
Crappies, sunfish, and perch can be a lot of fun on a light rod. A properly matched setup gives you better feel without making the rod heavier than it needs to be.
For bigger fish and heavier tackle, we can help you put together a rod with the backbone needed to handle stronger fish.
A custom rod is a good choice when you want something more specific than a standard rod off the rack.
You can choose a rod that better fits your hands, your reel, your favorite fishing technique, and the waters you fish most often.
It can also be a great choice for someone who spends a lot of time on the water and already knows what they like or do not like about their current rods.
